Igor Yaroshevsky (GPI#369), who will represent #TeamUkraine later this month at the Global Poker Masters, will coming into Poker’s World Cup on a heater. Yaroshevsky headed to Los Angeles over the weekend and left $333,680 richer. The Ukrainian pro final tabled the WPT L.A. Poker Classic, bowing out in fourth position.
The score is Yaroshevky’s second of 2015. He final tabled the Merit Poker Cup event during the Merit Poker Winter Fest to start the season in January.
Fellow #TeamUkraine teammate – and WPT Champions Club member – Eugene Katchalov (GPI#77) also played the WPT L.A. Poker Classic but failed to cash in the event.
#TeamRussia member Ivan Soshnikov (GPI#56) finished 16th while Canadian Mike Leah (GPI#63) and Americans Anthony Zinno (GPI#32) and Scott Seiver (GPI#4) – who could all receive wildcard entries into the Masters, all cashed at the LAPC with Zinno and Leah finishing 1-2.
