The 5th and Final Round of the Global Poker Masters’ Playoffs is underway and the biggest story from Round 4 was a surprise resurgence by Team Ukraine who was able to catapult out of the #8 spot via 2 outright victories from Oleksandr Gnatenko & Eugene Katchalov and other strong finishes. Germany still holds a slight lead – heading into Round 5 with 57,000 points over Team USA’s 56,000 Points, while Team UK has stumbled into 8th place and the new elimination risk with 1 Round to go – they sit with only 23,000 Points (amazingly 17,000 of which have come from Oliver Price) – 13,000 Points behind #7 Ukraine.
