Mustapha Kanit (GPI#29), who was a key member of a victorious #TeamItaly at the very first Global Poker Masters just a little over a month ago, returned to the winner’s circle over the weekend, capturing the W in the 50K Super High Roller single day event at the EPT Grand Final.
Kanit, who clinched the victory over #TeamRussia at the Masters, takes home an impressive €936,500 for his Monaco score. The win was actually Kanit’s very first score since his team’s victory at the Masters and his sixth score of 2015.
The Italian defeated Canada’s Mike Watson (GPI#102) heads-up for the title while a red-hot Ivan Luca (GPI#173) earned another impressive Top 10 finish in 2015. Luca would anchor a game Argentinian squad should the nation find a way to qualify for the 2016 edition of the Masters.
