French National Sylvain Loosli (GPI#55), who represented his country at the GPI Poker World Cup this past March in Malta, moved to #1 on the GPI French National Poker Rankings earlier this week following a first career title on the live tournament circuit.
The 2013 WSOP November Niner disposed of 2015 poker revelation Dzmitry Urbanovich (GPI#28) in the Super High Roller event at the EPT Barcelona Festival on Monday for his second career seven-figure score.
Loosli sits #1 on the French charts for the very first time, moving ahead of Benjamin Pollak (GPI#61), who had held the #1 rank for the longest time. Loosli, who also moves to #1 in the France PoY race, is now in prime position in making a return appearance at the GPI Poker World Cup should France qualify for this year’s competition.
