With Stephen Chidwick (GPI#11) unable to confirm his attendance, Team UK superstar Sam Trickett (GPI#99) has accepted an invitation and will be part of Team UK at the Global Poker Masters.
The former World #5 was unable to reach the $1M mark for the first time in five years in 2014, yet, he was still able to collect over $665K on the live tournament circuit, including a runner-up finish to GPM Team Italy member Andrea Dato (GPI#54) at WPT Venice and a 5th place finish in the Super High Roller event at EPT Barcelona in August.
Trickett has had tons of experience on the big stage, including a runner-up finish at the 2012 WSOP Big One for One Drop – where he took home over $10M – playing in the GPM will certainly be right up his alley, will he and his teammates be able to gel together in time to make a run at it? We’ll soon find out.
